This was taken in early December. We have a lot of does wandering through our property in Glenburn, but this was “that time of the year” and this buck though he’d hit the jackpot in our front yard! With the sun on the snow, we just thought it was a really pretty sight. Note the quail also visiting in the background.

Cooling off on the run. The end cap is opened to bring the water pressure down to a drinkable stream, which cannot be done without getting dowsed from hat to boots. This wheel line irrigates a wheat field near Alturas.
